Marie Rome is the Director of Accounting and Tax Compliance Services
for the firm. She has 30 years of experience in public accounting and 8
years in private, corporate accounting. Ms. Rome is invovled with the
tax and accounting side of the practice and manages a variety of
complex engagements in a wide range of industrites. Ms. Rome's expertise includes the business and taxation issues of start-up entities, reorganization of distressed companies, business sales and acquisitions, and strategies for very mature companies. She also chairs the firm's Quality Control Committee and is involved with maintaining and updating the firm's accounting policies and procedures for financial statements engagements. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, Ms. Rome joined the firm in 1998. She is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves as treasurer for the Dunbar Commmunity Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and she was formerly a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee for Glenmeadow, Inc. |
